#MergerMondays: Doing Good Together + Create the Change
Doing Good Together and Create the Change® have officially merged — a powerful step forward for two organizations dedicated to helping families and young people lead lives rooted in kindness, empathy, and action.
Founded in Minneapolis in 2004, Doing Good Together has spent two decades equipping families, schools, and communities with tools to weave service and compassion into daily life. Through hands-on kindness activities, family volunteer guides, and service-learning curriculum, the organization has helped parents and educators raise kids who care deeply and act boldly. Their work made it easy for busy families to turn small moments into acts of good — and inspired a growing national network of partners to do the same.
Meanwhile, Create the Change®, launched in Boston in 2017, carved out a unique lane by offering curated, age-appropriate volunteer opportunities for children and teens. Their platform made it simple for families to find meaningful service projects tailored to a child’s age and interests. Beyond volunteer matchmaking, they also developed engaging tools to spark conversation, deepen reflection, and make service feel personal and fun. At its core, the organization believed that young people aren’t just the leaders of tomorrow — they’re leaders today.
Now, as a united force, these two organizations are blending their best ideas, resources, and relationships to reach even more families nationwide. With this merger, they’ll be able to serve over 200,000 families annually — expanding access to tools that help children understand complex issues, take meaningful action, and grow into thoughtful, service-minded citizens.
The heart of their missions remains unchanged. But together, they’re poised to create a bigger, brighter ripple of good.
