#Merger Mondays: EMA + ERB = E3n

The Enrollment Management Association (EMA) and the Educational Records Bureau (ERB) have merged to create E3n, a new nonprofit focused on strengthening how independent schools approach enrollment, assessment, and student success.

Together, the organizations bring nearly 170 years of combined experience supporting independent schools and the professionals who lead them.

For decades, ERB has helped schools understand student learning through its assessments, including the Independent School Entrance Exam (ISEE). EMA has supported admissions and enrollment leaders around the world through research, professional development, and the Secondary School Admission Test (SSAT).

Now, those complementary strengths are coming together under one roof.

With the creation of E3n, schools will have access to a more connected set of tools and insights. Admissions professionals and academic leaders will be able to draw from shared data, research, and expertise as they guide students from their first inquiry through their academic journey.

It’s a meaningful step for two organizations that have each played an important role in the independent school landscape. And it reflects a growing recognition that enrollment strategy and student outcomes are strongest when they work hand in hand.

We’re excited to see what this next chapter brings for E3n, EMA, and ERB—and for the many schools and students they serve.
